Meet Mr. Nick!

Nick Doukas is a guitarist from Long Island, New York, who now resides in Southeastern Michigan. He started playing in the early 1980s, inspired by players like Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads. A former student of Al Pitrelli (TSO) and John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Nick brings a high-energy, technical rock style reminiscent of his biggest influences, including EVH, Rhoads, George Lynch, Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt, Neal Schon, and Brian May.

Nick has been teaching and performing for many years, using a methodical, organized approach that combines technical skills with a strong understanding of music theory to help students excel on their instruments.

Nick studied jazz and contemporary music at Five Towns College of Music and graduated cum laude from Nassau Community College with his Associate Degree, where he studied classical guitar, tonal harmony and counterpoint, as well as ear training, sight singing, and keyboard fundamentals.
